Comments (-1) Schools Closed for Remainder of School Year As a result of the Executive Order issued by Governor Greg Abbott today, the remainder of Willis ISD’s academic year through May 22 will be completed through our current model of distance learning. Click headline for more information. Comments (-1) FFCRA On March 18, 2020, Congress passed the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). The provisions of this Act include providing paid leave and expanded family and medical leave for school district employees with specific reasons related to COVID-19. The paid leave provisions of the FFCRA are effective April 1, 2020, and apply to leave taken from April 1, 2020 until the end of the calendar year. The qualifying reasons are listed on the attachment. Harkrider was honored for his work in bringing meaningful technology learning to the classrooms of Willis ISD.
